ABOUT ZANDRA

Sandra's work in the 1960s was a dazzling fusion of textiles and fashion design, creating a series of eye-catching pieces.

Sandra graduated from the Medway College of Art in 1962 and later specialized in textile design at the Royal College of Art. She is renowned as one of the design matriarchs who propelled London to the forefront of fashion in the 1970s.

The silk-screened, lip-shaped silk fabric called "Lipstick," introduced in 1968, was one of her many popular designs. It was inspired by beauty product advertisements by Christian Dior. This iconic design was even used in high-end custom creations by Valentino in 2017.

She founded the Fashion and Textile Museum in London, which has become a landmark in the city. In 2019, Queens Living Furniture & Kitchens collaborated with Sandra, incorporating her lipstick pattern into their existing home designs. This infusion of her distinctive style added a unique touch of color to their existing home furnishings.

In the simplicity of color combinations, it exudes its unique charm, making its presence impossible to ignore—a declaration of the charisma of the space's owner. The addition of patterns in the details fashionably and independently beckons you with every pause.
